    Dear Dame Shirley

Thanks for this great show we all were falling on the floor with laughter, we last saw you perform at the Melbourne Concert Hall April 1992 and loved your concert, I thought you had retired as we don’t hear much about you in Australia. So if you do retire now then well done and you deserve it, but if you do decide to come to Australia one last time, I will be there to see you, after the BBC Electric Proms I think you are amazing and I don’t think any one today can match you and I’ve seen Barbra Streisand live in 2000 and I thought she was great, but you look and sound better then 1992, I’ve been a fan since 1969 ( 40 years ) since seeing you live in Sydney, I think it was at The Chevron or The Checkers and it was televised live. so I went out and bought Live at the Talk of the Town next day and all the LPs after that.

Enjoy your Holidays and your well earned retirement you deserve that Golden Handshake with Diamonds ( Microphone )

Thanks for all the years of lovely songs and great entertainment.

    Kind Regards
    Pauline Wootton.

    Dear Dame Shirley

I love all the new songs on “The Performance ” I think it’s as good as all the 70s LPs I’ve got, and I like the look of the CD like a Record, nice one.

” I love you Now” and “Our Time is Now ” sound like Bond themes to me.

    Enjoy your Hoildays
Merry Christmas to you and your Family

I have been listening to your album over the last few days and want to congratulate you – I am 50 and my 10 year old daughter has been listening too and loves your singing. We need more role models like you!

    Dear Dame Shirley Bassey,
I just adore you. You have the best voice and personality of any performer. Your new CD is unbelievable. I am in the USA and I had to order the CD and wait for it to come in and it was all I could think of until it finally came in. Now I can’t stop listening to it. Your voice is better than ever (if that is possible). If you are ever in Boston MA USA performing I will be there. I’ll be the one with the biggest smile. God bless, Freddy

    To Dear Dame Shirley,

I’m 21 and have recently discovered that I absolutely love your music. I’m hoping that my mum and I can come see you sing sometime next year. Is a tour in plans?

    Merry Christmas and Love,

    Hannah

    Dear Dame Shirley

We recorded “Imagine” and watched it the other evening. It was so interesting to see the album being put together; to see you getting to grips, sometimes wrestling, with the songs as you got to know them, and then seeing how the finished article came together with your very own and very special “performance”. I went straight out and bought the album. Fantastic; overused these days, but in this case true.
No-one lives a song like you do or turns a song to be her own. And you are still doing it, without equal. Many try and no-one follows; that is the very special meaning of unique and how lucky we are to have lived through an era with you at the top of your game. Thank you for allowing Alan Yentob to do such a great and intimate programme as “Imagine” for a brilliant album and for all the fabulous songs down the years. Here’s to the next one.

Dearest Dame Shirley, You are wearing the heck out of this dress Girl!!! You look fantastic!!And you sound just as amazing as you look. Thank you for all of the joy. Thanks to Pieter Daane-Martina’s posts of your performances on You Tube, I experienced you for the first in November of 2009. I am so glad that I did. You have changed my life. So though I am in America, I have been keeping up with your various appearances. too bad Des Oconnor is no longer on British TV. I would love to see you have a friendly chat with your old friend, and perform a song from your should be nominated for EVERY Grammy award new CD,”The Performance.” I have confidence you will win every nomination too. You certainly deserve it! As much as I love watching you perform and having a chat, you certainly deserve your peace and quiet too. You have given so much. My deepest thanks to you.
